Introducing Our New Recycling Program
After winning the Sustainability award last year at the Brighton-Cramahe Chamber Business Achievement Awards, we wanted to challenge ourselves with further reducing our environmental footprint. We are pleased to announce a new recycling program at Rocia Naturals! We’ve partnered with Terracycle to make it easier for you to recycle your used Rocia makeup and cosmetic containers.
The reality is that even when you throw your used cosmetic pumps, tubes, bottles, droppers and sprayers into the recycling bin, there is no guarantee they will actually be recycled by your municipal recycling program. Our new program guarantees that everything you return to us will actually be converted into zero waste and won’t end up in a landfill.
What is Terracycle?
TerraCycle is an innovative recycling company that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste.
What happens to the used containers?
Once we collect and send the containers to Terracycle they are added to their zero waste program. Each container gets separated by polymer type, cleaned, and extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products. No containers will ever end up in landfills. You can learn more about how the process works here.
How can I help?
Simply return any used Rocia Naturals product containers to our store - we will collect them and ship them back to Terracycle so they can be processed through their zero waste system. All that we ask is that you make sure to remove as much excess product as possible from each container. If you are rinsing the containers, please make sure they are completely dry before dropping them off. This will ensure the containers are acceptable for processing.
Please note that we do pay for this recycling program, and in order to keep our costs down we are not able to accept non-Rocia Naturals containers at this time.
We hope you take advantage of this new green initiative at Rocia Naturals and look forward to working with you to minimize our environmental impact together!
